Hanna Miller


Hanna is from Mississippi with a BA in American Studies and Russian Language, Literature, and Culture from Sewanee: The University of the South, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2013 and was awarded a Fulbright. Her background is as an activist with on-call sexual assault crisis response on University campuses, the Russian punk protest movement, and generational divides between women in the American south. She has experience in documentary + TV production for public broadcasting, radio + web production for the arts and cultural exchange, and non-profit founding, organization, and development. Hanna has lived in the "Detroit of Russia," walked across Mississippi, and raced motocross -- all elements in her narrative of story hearing and telling. Currently, she's in school at UC Berkeley for a Master of Journalism in documentary making.
